It Takes a Village
Imagine you are a parent. Which of the poems or quotations in this selection would you think is most important for your child to understand, or follow?
I think that the poem about snowflakes would be the most important to me as a parent because it proves that if you stick together you can accomplish so much more than before. For one person it's hard to get your ideas out there, but for a group of people, everyone will listen. A group is much stronger than one person, just like a snowball is stronger than a snowflake.
I think that the most imporant quote in the story would be, you have brains in your head you have feet in you shoes you can steer yourself any direction you chose -Dr. Seuss
i think that becasue in life you have to do what you want and not what others tell you to do and to follow your heart.
I had a connection to "I like to squeeze" because I think that it is talking about all the different races and how they are treated in the world. Brad C.KPM
i think that the snowflakes pome by verna m. kelly is the most important because i think it means that you must be kind too everyone because in the long run it will come back and bite you, by bite you i mean that if you are rude that people will be rude back too you. and when you go to get a job they want some one nice not someone who is rude it makes the workday.
I would use The Dr.Seuss "you have brains in your head you have feet in you shoes you can steer yourself any direction you chose" because its about choseing the right way to go and not letting other people presher you into stuff.
I think it would be important for my children to understand the saying about snowflakes, becuase I would want my children to know that there is strength in numbers. But I would want them to use their numbers for good things. Bobbi-Jo C. KPM
if i had a kid i would want him/her to be able make their own choise with the brains they have and i would want them to have clothes on their body and shoes on their feet
If i was a parent i would like my child to follow the poem "id like to squeeze" because i would like my child to think one person is just the same as another one and that everyone should be able to have an equal amount of food, Water, Shelter Ect. anything to do with living.
"i'd like to squeeze" i think this poem is the poem my child should follow because it talks about being fair and everyone is an equal share.

I think the poem that would mean the best to me would be:
ReplyDeleteSnowflakes are one of nature's
most fargile things, but just
look what they can do
when they stcik together.
-Verna M Kelly
A friend would be the most vaulable thing to a child. Because when a child is getting picked on their friends stand up form them.
